Louis P. Perrault received his medical degree from University of Montreal in 1986. He completed 3 years of training in basic science research in Paris under the supervision of Professor Paul VanHoutte at Université Louis-Pasteur and obtained a doctor degree (PhD) in fundamental research in 1997. He is the current president for the CSCS.Dr. Perrault is a local Principal Investigator for the Cardiothoracic Surgical Trials Network (CTSNet) for the NIH/CIHR since 2007. He is also an investigator of the FRSQ (Fonds de la Recherche en Santé du Québec). Dr. Perrault has authored and co-authored more than 250 articles in peer-reviewed publications including New England Journal of Medicine, J Chir Thorac Cardio-Vasc, Circulation and J Heart Lung Transplant. His areas of clinical expertise include: Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting Surgery (CABG), valve surgery and heart transplantation ,endothelial dysfunction in left ventricular hypertrophy, pulmonary hypertension following CPB, stem cells therapy and heart transplantation.

Kathryn Weaver is Nurse Psychotherapist and Associate Professor in the University of New Brunswick where she teaches mental health, community development, and advanced nursing practice; and healthcare ethics Instructor for Graduate and Medical students, Atlantic Region Training Centre, Memorial University of Newfoundland. She completed her PhD from the University of Alberta and postdoctoral fellowships through the International Institute for Qualitative Methodology and Alberta Heritage Foundation for Medical Research. Jawahar Jay Kalra, an educator, researcher, and quality health care advocate, is a Professor of Pathology in the University of Saskatchewan and has served as Head of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. He is recognized for his many contributions as a clinical scientist, academic leader, and health system administrator. He has been a pioneer in establishing guidelines for thyroid-function testing, quality assurance program and contributed nationally and internationally in the area of total quality management. He has published extensively and is the author of the book “Medical Errors and Patient Safety: Strategies to reduce and disclose medical errors and improve patient safety.

He is P.hd in biomedical sciences in neuroscience and traumatology and neuropharmacology sector. Prof. in Human Movement Anatomy, Phd in Applied biomedical sciences, Research in Neuro Rehabilitation and Kinesiology.

The lines of research on which he worked at the University of Catania, Department of Biotechnology and Biomedical Sciences, section of applied physiology and kinesiology and motion control, have been in the field of neuroscience, in particular in the role of beta-amyloid and glycoprotein F3 in the synaptic plasticity of hippocampal memory of mice and then in Alzheimer's disease; he dealt with behavior and various behavioral tests in mice; of electrophysiology of in vitro slices of hippocampus, stereotaxy and cannulation implantation, administration of drugs and animal welfare.

Inés Llamas Ramos graduated in physiotherapy from the University of Salamanca, Nursing and Physiotherapy School in the year 2007-2010. She got her doctorate degree from the same university in the year 2015. Currently she is working as associate professor in the University of Salamanca.
